The I-MECH consortium is developing a revolutionary mechatronics platform on behalf of the European Union. This makes it possible to shorten the development time of mechatronics by 50%. At the same time, it provides smarter machines with a higher level of reliability, because the machines are learning and can predict and prevent technical problems in advance. The products of the I-MECH platform will eventually be used directly in market areas such as semicon, solar cells, operating robots and (3D) printing.
