A SUCCESSFULLY THEMATIC SEMINAR ON “RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT AND SMART URBAN DEVELOPMENT”

Last Friday, May 25, the thematic seminar on “Responsible Investment and Smart Urban Development” was held successfully at Novotel Danang Premier Han River in Danang city. This is an event which is held within the framework of the 45-year diplomatic relations celebration between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

 

The seminar attracted the attendances from Dutch-based companies and also other enterprises in Danang. During the seminar, specific challenges in Da Nang were addressed such as the effects of climate change, coastal erosion and managing drinking water, sanitation, and solid waste. Innovations, affordable solutions, and smart urban development experiences were shared. Speakers and participants exchanged ideas and experiences.

The Managing Director of Sioux High Tech Software attended the seminar as a speaker and made a speech of “Smart City”. The case study showed the importance of building a smart city, which allows people to access the enormous information source smartly, to connect effectively, and to live happily. The smart city appears in every aspect of life including energy, environment, transportation, health, and education. Sioux has been making an effort to develop and create smart applications for many specific fields above which bring people to the innovation of the future. DanaBus, Feedback Danang, Car-sharing are some of the smart mobile apps that Sioux’s already developed for Danang citizen.

Danang is one of the fastest growing cities in Vietnam that facilitates for a smart city. With the free wifi is available everywhere in the city center and smart infrastructure, smart city development in Danang is getting easier and faster than ever.

 

Besides the seminar, the People’s Committee of Da Nang city and the Netherlands Consulate General also held successfully a splendid Dutch Day. Sioux had a great honor to attend as a Dutch-based company, which could contribute to promote the Dutch culture, people and also build a positive image of Sioux Group in general. Our representative – Mr. Wieger Cornelissen – the Development Center Manager of Sioux in Danang and representatives from other companies joined various exciting activities, together made this day even more meaningful and fruitful.
